WWE Superstar Edge Shares Gruesome Tricep Surgery Images

WWE Superstar Edge was recently seen in ‘The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever’ against Randy Orton. The fight was hyped up to no end, with immense pressure on both fighters to deliver, at the Backlash pay-per-view. Edge was injured, coming off of the match, and later confirmed that he had torn his tricep muscle as a result of the bout.

The Rated R Superstar shared images of his torn tricep being operated upon, on his Instagram account. Viewer discretion is advised, as the images are graphic.

Did Edge crack under the pressure?

Edge had been tasked with putting up an amazing show at Backlash. His match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 36 was great, but it only put more pressure on the superstars to top their previous performance. Throughout the buildup to Backlash, the match was constantly hyped as ‘The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever’.

This undoubtedly put a huge amount of pressure on Edge, who was still rusty from a nine-year absence from pro-wrestling.

With the super-high expectations from the match, and his long absence from WWE, it is not surprising at all that he got injured in this way.

Edge has been known to be a performer who always puts everything on the line. That admirable mentality has cost him this time, with a torn tricep, and a shaky return to the WWE.

Edge also used his social media to dispel rumors that his injury was part of a storyline after some fan speculations pointed to this direction.

However, Edge clarified that he was actually injured, and that he would have to recover from the surgery before getting back into the ring.

The WWE has always been cut-throat in this way. Superstars are always expected to put their bodies on the line for a performance.

Considering Edge is a Hall of Famer, the WWE probably won’t abandon him. But Edge’s injury is a direct product of him pushing himself too far, for the fans and the company.
