WWE Universe saw the massive return of Cody Rhodes on Day 1 of WrestleMania 38. He was the mystery opponent for Seth Rollins at the mega-event chosen by Vince McMahon. It was a distinct moment in the arena when Cody walked down the ramp.

The WWE fans present in the arena started chanting ‘Cody’ while Rhodes was in the ring. Cody won the match, which was a great start for his WWE return.

WWE posted all over their social media about the return of Cody to the company. Many people had expected The American Nightmare to sign with Vince McMahon’s company and make an appearance at Mania. 

WWE’s TV partner BT Sports shared a picture on Twitter, taking a dig at AEW. They welcomed Cody Rhodes in a typical AEW fashion. The picture said, “Cody Rhodes is WWE”. 

The caption of the tweet said, 

“ADRENALINE 

IN MY SOUL

WWE SIGN

CODY RHODES!

#WrestleMania”

It was a huge dig at AEW as their prime superstar, Cody, is now a Vince McMahon guy once again. He will at Monday Night RAW address the WWE Universe for the first time in six years. The American Nightmare isn’t Elite anymore, he is WWE.

It will be a great sight to watch an original AEW guy perform in WWE. Like X-Pac was the first WCW wrestler to jump ship to WWE from WCW, The American Nightmare is the first to leave AEW for WWE.

Seth Rollins did not welcome Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes got a massive ovation at A&T Stadium amidst his return to WrestleMania 38. Fans were cheering and started chanting ‘Cody’ when he came into the ring. He got a warm welcome from the WWE Universe.

However, Seth Rollins didn’t take Cody’s return well. He looked on with an evil smile as Rhodes appeared on the ramp as his opponent. While the match was on The Architect whispered six words to Cody that took a dig at AEW.

The Visionary didn’t take Cody’s return well, and it seems moving forward from RAW after WrestleMania Rollins will target Rhodes. Seth will mainly center on Cody’s endeavors while he was outside WWE.
