Cody Rhodes had one of the most spectacular pro wrestling years in 2023. The American Nightmare worked in amazing storylines and feuds and won the hearts of many with each appearance. Moreover, he made sure to be present in every single venture the WWE had in its cards throughout the year.

Despite not being the WWE undisputed Champion, Cody Rhodes was truly the face of WWE in 2023. Interestingly, a new 2023 statistic of the American Nightmare has surfaced online via a new social media post. In fact, it shows that while Rhodes won everyone’s hearts, he also won his battles inside the squared circle.

Cody Rhodes suffered an undeserving defeat at WrestleMania 39 against Roman Reigns after an interference by Solo Sikoa. If you mostly remember Rhodes just winning for the rest of the year, worry not, you’re not wrong. A tweet by Wrestle Features on X says the same thing.

According to the tweet, “Cody Rhodes finishes 2023 by having the most matches out of anyone in @WWE. Rhodes has lost just 5 matches in 2023, giving the future WWE Champion a win percentage of 95.6%.” This is a really difficult milestone to achieve, especially while fighting the most number of matches as well.

Rhodes took part in the plots of every major arc this year. While he had his own storylines he was involved in, he also acted as WWE’s needle that sewed different plots together. Moreover, he was also seen transitioning through brands to do so. Thus, while this gave him a higher number of matches, his own skill and ability ensured he won every one of those matches.

Cody Rhodes has often said that his story would be complete as soon as he wins the WWE Undisputed Championship. Notably, while this is the only belt he has never won, the same was the case with his dad. But, while Rhodes couldn’t win the prestigious title, he won another great thing by carrying his dad’s touch.

Cody Rhodes recently achieved a splendid victory in the Survivor Series: WarGames match. Team Rhodes was pitted against Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre for the PLE, which saw a decisive defeat of the purple heel faction. Interestingly, the concept of WarGames was the idea of none other than his father, The American Dream Dusty Rhodes

The junior Rhodes also released his biopic this year titled ‘The American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes.’ His biopic now needs to add the page of the WarGames victory to itself.
