At Payback, Mysterio impacted the results of two matches, emerging as the biggest factor in The Judgment Day. After helping Finn Balor and Damian Priest win the tag team golds against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, he played a crucial factor in Rhea Ripley’s title-retaining victory.

However, these wins came at a price for Dirty Dom, who put his body on the line. First, Kevin Owens, who jumped from several feet high to land a Swanton Bomb put him through a table. Next, Raquel Rodriguez used a Running Slam on him.
