Paul Heyman leaves no opportunity to put over his new client, Roman Reigns.

In a recent interview, TV Insider asked Heyman to compare the current and former Superstars that he has managed. According to him, it’s difficult to answer this question considering that Reigns is very similar both inside and outside the ring.

Reigns worked as a cheesy babyface for the first eight years of his career. However, if he continued the same way, he would not have the same impact as Brock Lesnar. As a result, the change from babyface to heel was a necessity.

“They are one and the same. Roman Reigns accomplished a body of work in his first eight years on the main roster in WWE that will go down in history. To his enormous credit, he looked back at that body of work and felt very unfulfilled and unsatisfied because, much like Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey, Roman realized history will be unappreciative of Roman Reigns’ contribution to the narrative of WWE 25, 50 and 100 years from now.”

Anyone who has followed Lesnar’s work closely is aware of the immense fan following he has garnered during his time with WWE. Much of it is owed to the character he played inside the ring. Therefore, if Roman Reigns wants to replicate that footprint, he will need to continue on his current path.

Paul Heyman claims that Roman Reigns, the Tribal Chief, will set new standards on Friday Night SmackDown.

“As he enters his prime, Roman will make people realize that the past eight years was the warmup for. The true Hall of Fame, legendary portion of his career. Everything you’ve seen Roman Reigns accomplish until now was just setting the table for the history you’re going to witness unfold in the next few weeks, months, years. He was just getting ready for this portion of his career.”

Finally, Heyman concludes by giving his opinion on which WWE brand has a better roster for the coming season. Considering he is representing The Big Dog, he picked the blue brand.

“The fact that this network can keep Roman Reigns as their premiere star on Friday nights on network is the determining factor: SmackDown won the draft this year and perhaps scored the greatest draft pick in the history of the WWE Draft.”
