Why was Truth out of action for so long?

The November 1, 2022 edition of NXT was a very bad day for Truth. He faced Grayson Waller in the opening bout of the night. Everything went well until executed a suicide dive on his opponent, who was outside the ring. This high-risk maneuver caused him to land in an awkward manner.

The rough landing caused his quad tendon to tear. The official stopped immediately the match and paramedics rushed from the back to tend to the injured star. They took him to the hospital, where the doctors declared him unfit to wrestle for an indefinite timeline.

Through social media, he kept his fans updated about his recovery journey. He disclosed to his fans that he underwent surgery not once but twice to heal his injured leg. The first operation was conducted to address the torn quadriceps muscle, whereas the second surgical intervention focused on the eradication of the infection that had unfortunately arisen in his injured leg.

The two surgeries and combined recovery time prolonged his return to the ring. That is why he was absent for a year. But now he is back all healed. Soon the fans can hope to see him perform inside the ring as well. A final date for his in-ring return hasn’t been finalized yet.
