Wrestling World In Dismay As Ronda Rousey and Shotzi Crushed Fans at Survivor Series 2022: ‘They Could Sue You Guys’

WWE presented its annual Survivor Series event from Boston. The WarGames match gimmick took place for the first time on the main roster. Apart from two historic WarGames match, the premium live event also featured other notable matches. The card also featured the SmackDown Women’s championship match between Ronda Rousey and Shotzi.

Even if the match didn’t live up to expectations, one particular spot captured fans’ attention online and got them talking. As the action spilled outside, Shotzi performed a dive from onto the barricade, taking out Ronda Rousey in the crowd along with a few fans.

The wrestling world reacts to Shotzi and Ronda Rousey divingonto the fans at Survivor Series

Fans had a mostly underwhelming reaction to the Ronda Rousey versus Shotzi at Survivor Series. Many people believed that the result was a foregone conclusion and wanted WWE to make Shotzi at least look good in her offense. In an attempt to do that, she did carry out a spot that saw her dive onto Ronda Rousey and some fans sitting in the first row. Shotzi took out a good number of seated fans with her dive, crushing them alongside The Rowdy One.

As soon as the video of Shotzi diving on the fans along with her opponent went online, fans quickly shared their thoughts on the spot. Many fans expressed their concerns about the fans at ringside possibly getting hurt. Some fans however, pointed out that WWE may used ‘plants’ during the spot.

Even though Shotzi vs Ronda wasn’t the match of the night, but the fans will remember this spot. Despite her best efforts, Shotzi was unable to overcome Rousey and The Baddest Woman on the Planet ended up retaining her title. Ronda Rousey will now move onto her next challenger and only time will tell who will step up to the former UFC Champion. It will also be interesting to see what direction WWE has planned for Shotzi on SmackDown going forward.
