Former NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose’s departure from the WWE came as an enormous shock to millions of fans around the world. The prestige wrestling promotion released the 32-year-old from her contract last month because of her FanTime content. The release came on the back of a tremendous professional achievement as Mandy became the third women’s fighter in the company’s history to hold on to her title for more than a year.

Mandy’s 413-day title reign concluded on the December 13th episode of NXT as Roxanne Perez beat her via pinfall and ended her reign of dominance. The WWE released the former champion the very next day, much to the dismay of her millions of supporters.

Despite her unceremonious exit, Mandy doesn’t bear an ill grudge towards the WWE and has spoken positively of her time at the promotion. The former ‘Toxic Attraction’ member recollected one of her favorite WWE memories, which sadly didn’t make the cut for the television screens, as it involved a goof-up and another WWE wrestler.

Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville made a fatal error during their rookie years

Mandy Rose signed with WWE in 2015 as she honed her craft and made her main roster debut in 2017. The Total Divas star made her debut on Monday Night Raw, with Sonya Deville and Paige forming the stable ‘Absolution’. Despite appearing in some high-profile storylines, Mandy could not catch momentum in her initial run.
