“You’ve Messed Up” – Sebastian Vettel Fumes At Ferrari’s Strategy Flop

Sebastian Vettel has not had a good start to the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix. He had a poor weekend, to begin with, starting the race in P11. However, it only got worse after lights out. Vettel spun out on the first lap after taking a lot of curb on turn 1, thus putting him at the very back of the grid.
Vettel was heard saying, “This is the gap that we didn’t like, we spoke about it this morning. I’ll hang in there, but you know you’ve messed up.” Vettel’s radio message only further spices up the environment between the German and his team.

The 4-times world champion has a tall order ahead of him. He may need some cars ahead of him to retire if he were to win any points. It’s a disheartening situation to be in not only for Vettel but also for his fans.
While Sebastian Vettel continues to struggle, teammate Charles Leclerc may earn Ferrari some solace

Charles Leclerc has had a much better weekend then his German teammate. Having started the race in P8, he dropped to P10 early on but has recovered pretty well. Unlike a number of other drivers struggling to keep their tires in good condition, Leclerc has done a good job.
The Monegasque has managed to finish in P4 and looks well set to earn some vital points for his team. Surely by this time many, including Vettel, will be thinking, are the two Ferrari drivers racing the same car. The answer seems to be a big no.

Where does Vettel go from here? Every race looks like a pain for him. Not even being able to compete at the front of the midfield is a damning predicament for Vettel to be in. You can only wonder just how badly Vettel hopes this season ends. He looks like a man that wants to be put out of his misery.
