Vasyl Lomachenko is one of the prime faces of the lightweight division of boxing. One cannot imagine the roster with ‘The Matrix’ as he’s competed in some of the most iconic fights and drawn the casual and hardcore fans to this division. That said, every hardcore boxing lover wishes to see a snippet of Lomachenko. Moreover, he enjoys putting some sublime performances for one and all.
Recently, his promoter and the Top Rank Promotions’ supremo, Bob Arum, revealed some intriguing news about Lomachenko’s return.
Speaking to World Boxing News, Arum asserted that on December 11 he’ll look to put on a massive fight card. And ‘Loma’ is one good bet to headline that event. Unfortunately for ‘Loma’ fans, he still didn’t spill the beans on the opponent, purse details, and more such vital information.

Nevertheless, the fans can be content and satisfied as they might get to see their favorite star back in action later this year.
A month ago, Lomachenko made his much-awaited return to the ring after his dreadful loss to Teofimo Lopez. He locked horns with Masayoshi Nakatani in a full-fledged 12-round war and put on an impressive performance in this fight.
Prior to him taking the ring space against Nakatani, many boxing pundits felt the Ukrainian boxer might not be able to resurrect his position. However, once the former lightweight champ began his assault on the Japanese boxer, he didn’t stop. With intense pressure, he finally secured a T/KO win in round 9.

Will Vasyl Lomachenko get his hands on Teofimo Lopez for his December 11 fight?
‘Loma’ has expressed his interest in settling scores with Lopez who dethroned him from the top of the mountain last year. However, ‘The Takeover’ already has a fight lined up with George Kambosos Jr. But the date of this bout is still unclear.
Considering this mess up, it doesn’t seem that the blistering rematch between Lopez and Lomachenko will take place on December 11. Hence, at least in 2021, ‘Loma’ may have to fight someone to keep himself relevant in the division.
