Roger Federer and Glories are two sides of the same coin. While the Swiss maestro continues to build on his tennis legacy, he hasn’t shied away from shining up in his off-court activities as well. Recently, a commercial for Switzerland tourism featuring Roger Federer bagged the silver medal in the list of 10 most-watched advertisements on YouTube.

The commercial, also featuring American award-winning actress, Anne Hathaway, is a part of Switzerland tourism’s latest ad campaign, ‘No one upstages the Grand Tour of Switzerland‘. Released in April, the commercial has already crossed 102 million views to date.
Federer and Anne Hathaway make it big on YouTube
Going back to last year, Federer took a break from the game to heal his knee injury. Following the surgery, the 20-time Grand Slam champion was forced to stay out of the tour for a long time. While the former World No. 1 was stopped from shining on the tennis court, he made sure that the surgery didn’t stop him from his off-court activities.

As seen on his social media handles, being out of the game, Federer indulged in various activities. While some of it was concerned with his foundation work, others were concerned with his commercial engagements; One of those other engagements being the ad film.
Released on the 12th of April this year, the commercial features, Federer and Anne in a BTS video of them seeing the editorial cut of the ad film they have shot. However, adding a creative angle to showcase the beauty of the country, the commercial further shows the two being disappointed with the film as it is more focused on the scenic beauty than the two of them. The 2 minutes 10 second long commercial ends with the two walking away from the film screening.
Roger Federer is back on the court
As mentioned earlier, Federer took a break from the game last year. The 40-year-old last played at the 2021 Wimbledon, suffering a quarterfinal loss to Hubert Hurkacz. Since then, fans have been waiting to see the Swiss maestro back on the court.

After much wait, the former World No. 1 recently announced the Swiss Indoors Basel as his comeback tournament. However, before that, he has a bigger gift for his fans. A month prior to Basel, Federer would play the Laver cup along with his arch-rival Rafael Nadal.
