Golden State Warriors lost their fourth-straight game in the league as they went down against the Lakers in LA. However, it was LeBron James who stole the headlines (once again) as he scored an insane 56 points. Klay Thompson was another player who was trending on social media, but for the wrong reasons. Klay finished the game with just 7 points and was the subject of trolling on social media.

King James has been the best player for the Lakers this season. He just proved the same again when the Lakers hosted the Warriors on Saturday. James recorded a double-double with 56 points and 10 rebounds. As James had an insane shooting night in LA, it was quite the opposite for Klay Thompson.

NBA Twitter trolls Klay Thompson as LeBron James downs the Warriors with 56-point game

Klay already had a bad game against the Mavericks. He scored just 6/17 from the field and 2/8 from deep against the Mavs. He followed that up against the Lakers yesterday with 3/13 from the field and 1/5 from deep. It was an upsetting loss for the Warriors and definitely a hard one for Klay.

Klay joined the Warriors earlier this year after missing two straight seasons due to injuries. He showed some signs of recovery in form and looks good in his conditioning. However, he has struggled to step up in the last few games for the Dub Nation.

One half of the ‘Splash Brothers’ is currently averaging 16.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 0.6 steals per game. His average points per game this season is the 2nd worst of his career (only ahead of his rookie season).

Despite a drop in his form, he has been getting MVP shouts, which further proves how well he has been. Can the Warriors bounce back and mount a championship challenge from here?
