Despite Retiring, Big Ramy Is Far From Calling It Quits on Bodybuilding: “Not Done, Never Giving Up”

The sport of bodybuilding has its arms wholeheartedly for athletes across the globe. The one man who wasn’t American Arnold Schwarzenegger dominated bodybuilding with 7 Olympia titles. Afterward, there were many names that were associated with this category. But recently, An Egyptian bodybuilder, Big Ramy, won his two Mr. O titles consecutively. A couple of weeks ago, Ramy shocked everyone by withdrawing from this year’s competition.
The 39-year-old bodybuilder said that, in 2022, because of multiple injuries, he couldn’t perform his best on stage. As a result, he didn’t win and ended up in fifth place. The same thing happened earlier this year at the Arnold Classic, where he also couldn’t secure first place.

Nonetheless, the bodybuilding community was hoping he would surprise everybody with his progress. Indeed, astounded everyone with the announcement of not competing this year. However, he said he would be back for next year if the circumstances were in his favor.
The Mass Moster regardless took his name back from the competition but didn’t quit bodybuilding. He showed people his skills through social media platforms. Despite declining in his bulkiness, he showcases his shredded physique that fans really admire. He’s been posting a lot lately with motivating quotes. In one of his posts, he wrote, “Always try to be better than ever and never forget why you started.”

It will be difficult for him to be back- Jay Cutler

But for now, it is wise to stay away from the stage for some time so that there can be room for improvement. Recently, the Bodybuilding beat Jay Cutler in his podcast video discussing Ramy’s situation and stating some harsh facts.
Cutler was shocked by the revelation of his not competing however, he continued and said “It’s going to be very difficult and now him not competing this year I think unless he gets in the early shows next year remember he’s Mr. Olympia so he’s qualified for life he can come back in 10 years if he wants.” If he takes a break and watches others compete, seeing someone else win could make it tough for him to want to come back. The break from the sport might take away his competitive spirit.
