Arnold Schwarzenegger is the new Chief Action Officer at Netflix. That’s what the most recent advertisement by the streaming giant would have us believe. Earlier, the 75-year-old starred in an ad for Netflix where he rolled up to the streaming giant’s headquarters in his Patton tank. “No one loves action as much as I do,” said Arnie as he poked out his head from the driver’s compartment.
The camera then pans to the bodybuilding icon sitting inside his office at Netflix headquarters. As a man walks up to him to get approval for the “explosions” he asked for, Arnie says he wants “bigger” explosions. Schwarzenegger’s first task after accepting “a big new job,” was to scrutinize the action setpieces of various upcoming releases. Besides his show FUBAR, which will begin streaming on May 25th, people are also excited about Extraction 2. Extraction, starring Chris Hemsworth released in 2020 and became an instant hit. It did so well that despite seemingly killing off Hemsworth’s character at the end, he is back for part 2.
