“I Almost Died”: Ditched Death Once Before, Bodybuilder on Bizarre Watermelon Only Fast Drops Unconscious Mid-Workout

The Californian bodybuilding veteran is widely regarded as one of the most significant fitness influencers online. The fact that his YouTube page has over 3 million subscribers is a testament to it. He uses his online presence to spread workouts and videos on proper nutrition. 

Apart from that, Muscle’s content is even filled with fun fitness challenges from fasting for 30 days or surviving only on one food for an elongated period. While most of the time, they are fun to watch, some of the challenges bring about serious consequences and his recent challenge was among one of those.

Kali Muscle recently took to his official Facebook account and shared a video of himself where he was seen working out on the beach after his challenge where he was allowed to only eat Watermelons. He captioned it, “I almost died fasting on Watermelon 🍉…” As the video began, he was seen pulling out 11 reps of pull-ups with his exceptional strength and with the perfect amount of pauses for his muscles to focus.

After the pull-ups, he went about doing a set of curls and it was after the curls that he completely lost control. Kali Muscle said, “I did that set felt good and then all of a sudden after that set, my energy started fading, it’s like your life fading away from you and I just got super weak and I was just hunched, slumped over and I was like I need some watermelon.”

Kali Muscle got some watermelon juice and could barely drink it. So he crawled to the shade and started losing his senses. He had to be carried back to his car, and that was when he slowly started regaining his senses. Although this has been an unimaginable consequence, he has given a lot of credit to the Watermelon Challenge for several changes.

How did the Watermelon challenge help Kali Muscle?

The 48 YO Fitness Influencer went on a challenge that made him eat nothing but Watermelon for nine days and he surely reaped several benefits from it. In 2021, Kali Muscle had a heart attack. He went to the hospital because one of his arteries on the left side got completely blocked. He stayed in the hospital for a while and got better. But after that, he decided to make some changes in his life. He said, “That’s the whole precept of this watermelon challenge or whatever or fruitarian diet, raw food diet, is to keep your system not having to struggle to break down food. To get food written out of your stomach and intestines because as you know, all of us that was on a sad diet. all that stuff is just locked up in there.”

Kali Muscle even uses watermelon oil on his skin and has stopped using any kind of deodorants and has also mentioned that his bowel movements have been better than ever since the day he started taking the food challenge.
