In 1998, the bodybuilding scene underwent a massive change when Ronnie Coleman became the Mr. Olympia, making a lasting impact on the sport. Fast forward to the present, and the legendary eight-time Mr. Olympia shared his insights on the potential heir to his colossal legacy.

In a candid interview with Olympia TV’s hosts Terry Guindy and Chris Cormier, Coleman made a bold prediction about Samson Dauda weeks before the Arnold Classics. Coleman thinks Dauda could replicate his unparalleled bodybuilding career.

The conversation between the bodybuilding experts took an interesting turn as they discussed Samson Dauda. Guindy mentioned that the Nigerian Lion drew comparisons to the King of bodybuilding. “Many people talking about Samson Dauda comparison saying listen maybe this guy could be the next Ronnie Coleman, What do you think about Samson Dauda,” he asked Coleman with curiosity. The King acknowledged Dauda’s potential and said, “I think he could be the next Ronnie Coleman.”

But he also had a challenge for Dauda. “He got to train like Ronnie Coleman and eat like Ronnie Coleman and do all the things that I did, so it’s not going to be easy but anything is possible,” explained Coleman with bustling admiration for the 33-year-old.

Dauda has not only impressed fans with his performance at the Olympia but also garnered praise from legendary bodybuilders due to his unwavering dedication and commitment to the sport. After securing the fifth position in 2022, he bettered his standing to the top three the following year.

Dauda is currently preparing for the Arnold Classic, which is set to take place towards the end of February 2024.

Samson Dauda’s prep for the Arnold Classic

The powerhouse bodybuilder clinched victories at the Arnold Classic 2023, Romania Pro, and Dubai Pro consecutively, hinting that 2024 could be his breakthrough year. However, amid his preparation for the Arnold Classic, he informed his fans about a hamstring injury he had just a few days ago.

But true to his lion-like reputation, Dauda swiftly bounced back. Demonstrating resilience, he resumed workouts, showcasing his sculpted physique in an Instagram video that captivated fans.  He’s been working hard despite the obstacles to clinch the top at every competition. The courage Dauda has shown, might also further his resemblance to Coleman.
