In the aftermath of the Memphis Grizzlies’ loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs, former champion Adrien Broner took to social media to mock Grizzlies’ star Ja Morant. Broner, known for his brash and outspoken personality, couldn’t resist stirring up controversy by trolling Morant in a series of posts.

The Memphis Grizzlies star was part of a lot of controversy this season. He was suspended in March after an incident where he was seen holding a gun in an Instagram live video. This loss was particularly hard for the young team as despite being the second seed they lost to the seventh-seeded Lakers. Moreover, Broner’s taunts added an extra layer of drama to the already intense playoff atmosphere.

The Problem recently took to social media and shared a post mocking the Grizzlies and Morant on his Instagram story. In the video, each of the starting five was made fun of. Broner also posted a series of mocking comments, labeling the video as “so damn funny.”

Broner’s trolling of Morant adds an extra layer of intrigue to the rivalry between the Lakers and Grizzlies. Although some fans may see it as a part of the game, others view it as being disrespectful towards the sport. However, the Grizzlies are still a young team and will look to bounce back next season. In addition, they have made some drastic changes to the roster now looking to release on of thier key players.

Memphis Grizzlies looking not to re-sign Dillon Brooks in free agency

The Memphis Grizzlies have made the decision to part ways with guard Dillon Brooks according to USA Sports. The guard has been an integral part of the Grizzlies’ success over the past three seasons. However, his performance during the first round of the playoffs against the Los Angeles Lakers was not up to the mark. He shot just 31.2% from the field and 23.8% from beyond the arc

Brooks also made headlines for his ejection in Game 3 after hitting LeBron James in the groin. This would eventually lead the Lakers to secure a blowout victory and ultimately clinch the series in six games.

The Grizzlies’ decision to move on from Brooks signals a shift in their roster strategy. While the guard has been a key contributor in the past, his recent struggles and off-court incidents seem to have influenced the team’s decision. Moreover, his antics off the court were a major contributing factor to his release as the team will now look to fill the void left by his departure.
