In December 2021, Jake Paul raised millions of eyebrows with his sensational win over Tyron Woodley. This was a second meet between the duo and the YouTuber, which captivated the fans with a momentous win. Since then, he’s trending all over for his next potential boxing outing.

Casual fans as well as ardent boxing lovers wish to see Paul take on a pro-boxer from hereon. Also, ‘The Problem Child’ shares the akin notion and he also has an opponent in mind.

Speaking to Stephen Smith on ESPN, he said, “Just because someone’s a professional boxer doesn’t mean like. I’m taking on all these guys. I’m trying to fight Jacob. What is his name? Jacob Chavez, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. I don’t know his name. Yeah, yeah, yeah, the one with the good dad.”

Chavez Jr.’s name didn’t pop into Jake Paul‘s list just for this interview. In fact, he expressed his notions about fighting the Mexican boxer a few days after his win over Tyron Woodley. ‘The Problem Child’ also asked his manager, Nakisa Bidarian, to set up a fight with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Initially, Jake Paul was in the line to face Tommy Fury, who’s a pro-boxer. However, the Briton had to withdraw from the fight due to rib injury and chest infection.

That said, Paul’s plan to face a pro-boxer went in vain. But now, he’s on his toes to get aligned with a pro-boxer by elevating his skills and possibly extending his winning streak further by proving his mettle inside the ring.

Is Jake Paul really ready to face someone like Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.?

The 5-0 boxer added some notable prowess to the bag and his improvements were visible against Tyron Woodley.

But, in order to face a veteran in Chavez Jr., the YouTuber will have to bring in something more to the table. He definitely has worked on his stamina, power, and defense. However, he’ll need a stern fight IQ to tackle the likes of Chavez Jr. and more.
