Adrien Broner Comes Clean on Debt to Floyd Mayweather: ‘I Still Owe You’

Multiple-division world champion, Adrien Broner, is certain that he will make an explosive comeback with a sensational returning showdown. This, in turn, excited fans at the prospect of him returning to the ring. Meanwhile, his friendship and fallout with the former five-division world champion, Floyd Mayweather, is spoken about in hushed tones among the members of the boxing fraternity. And it looks like the relationship between the two is not the best currently. In fact, Broner recently added more fuel to this fire by promising to pay Mayweather the money that he ‘owes’ him.
Mayweather posted on Instagram about a bet he made during the recent Super Bowl. He mentioned that he had won the first half but lost the whole game.

Broner, on the other hand, took to the comments to say, “Win some and you lose some. But you live to bet another day big bro. Plus I still owe you bout 10-11k from a bet we made years ago.”
He further added that he will repay him the same after his fight on the 25th. However, the fight failed to materialize. His upcoming opponent, Michael Williams Jr. had to back out of the fight due to a jaw injury.
What happened between Adrien Broner and Floyd Mayweather?
The duo has had an on-and-off friendship for the past few years. Broner was often considered Mayweather’s protege and the apparent heir to his throne. Over the years, Broner has also shared videos of Mayweather and himself hanging out.

Meanwhile, there have also been occasions when they beefed with each other. Talking about their fallout, Broner said, “Floyd talking about me again, not once. But this has happened on multiple occasions. This goes back to what I said, real ni**as don’t do this type of sh*t bro.”
With the recent comments, it looks like Broner is trying to make amends in their relationship.
