Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has made headlines once again after suggesting a radically different approach to making a new version of his biopic. It was previously rumored that Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx would portray him in a biopic featuring big names like Martin Scorsese and Antoine Fuqua. However, the movie never came to fruition.

Instead, fans got to see Trevante Rhodes feature as ‘Iron’ Mike in the Hulu original titled Mike. The show was not well received by Tyson who claimed that it was made without his permission and also had issues with the naming rights. Despite this, Tyson now wants to tell his story in a manner that no one saw coming.

As reported by Daily Star, A close Vegas business associate revealed that Tyson had concerns regarding Jamie Foxx’s age. It was also reportedly considered preferable for an athlete to play the role of the former heavyweight champion. “Mike has been telling people Jamie is no longer going to be playing him. They are friends apparently, but somehow the whole proposal of Jamie starting off as 20-something Mike is not going to work,” he said. This might have been the reason why the Oscar nominated actor was not considered for the role of his lifetime.

This certainly shocked Williams who just responded with a single word. “Wow,” he said. Seeing ‘Iron’ Mike in the animated form will be a joy for his fans as they will get a taste of him in a new way. Tyson’s decision to opt for a cartoon version of his life story is certainly unexpected, but not entirely surprising, given his history of taking risks and trying new things. However, this isn’t the first time Tyson has ventured out into the world of animation.

Tyson’s decision to go with a cartoon biopic is also a nod to his own love of animation. In recent years, Tyson has been actively involved in the world of cartoons and animation, lending his voice to various animated TV shows and movies. He made s a brief appearance as himself in the show Family Guy. In the episode “PTV”, Tyson appears as a guest on a talk show and gets into a fight with Peter Griffith.

Moreover, he also starred in the Mike Tyson Mysteries series as a cartoon version of himself, solving mysteries with his sidekicks. Now, it will be interesting to see who takes on the task of bringing Tyson’s story to life in animated form, but one thing is certain, it will be a biopic unlike any other.
