Former heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr is looking to enter the heavyweight title ride, after a successful comeback against Chris Arreola in May 2021. However, he is still far from meeting the A-listers and has found new ways of retaining himself in the news. After joining hands with Team Canelo, ‘The Destroyer’ has been spinning headlines for several reasons.
His frequent sparring sessions with Canelo Alvarez are a few of them. Besides, his recent butt tattoo has also grabbed quite some attention. Trainer Eddy Reynoso has now reacted to it and has revealed how Ruiz Jr grabbed a new nickname for his tattoo.

In a chat with Michelle Joy Phelps of Behind The Gloves, Reynoso said, “He [Andy Ruiz Jr.] told me earlier that he was gonna get tattoos. He said I am even gonna tattoo my butt, and I thought it was a joke. And then he sent me a picture. It was real. It’s his nickname, he calls it catchathon.”
A few days back, Canelo Alvarez was also spotted checking Andy Ruiz Jr’s tattoo. Thus, it has clearly become a massive attention-seeking factor in the boxing universe.
