Anthony Joshua, the former two-time unified heavyweight champion has never been so cold before. The 33-year-old is going to step back inside the ring in pursuit of a title for the third time in his career but before that, the British boxer appeared to have changed a lot. The way he is responding to questions signals that Joshua is not the same AJ. The effect of back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk has certainly taken a toll on his legacy. He is set to rebuild his career with according to many, an easy fight against Jermaine Franklin.

The former heavyweight champ talked to an IFL TV reporter, who asked about AJ’s opinion on the biggest fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury for the undisputed title. Joshua being brutally honest first denied talking about the highly anticipated contest. And then later after being asked again he clearly ducked the query by frankly adding that he is not going to open up on the camera.

“I don’t really want to talk about it. You know it is my name is talk about a lot. I don’t need to speak for anyone else that that’s not what a man does,” said Joshua.

Why did Anthony Joshua deny giving an opinion on Camera?

The Olympic gold medalist has undergone a lot of criticism the previous year. This is the reason he did not want to talk about anything that is strictly not his business. Wishing both fighters Usyk and Fury ‘Good Luck’, he mentioned, “I just kind of bothered to be talking about other people’s business and stuff like that. Good luck to them both I have my own opinion but I don’t really want to be discussing it on camera for everyone else’s opinion to have an opinion on my opinion.”

After eight months of a long layoff, Joshua is scheduled to meet Franklin on April 1 at O2 Arena in London. Joshua has a new trainer now to help him regain his lost momentum. Though he did not want to talk about the upcoming undisputed matchup, his eyes would be set on that shot.
