Fight Source shared a three-minute-long video of Floyd Mayweather Jr. dazzling in all his riches. From the finest set of clothes and jewelry to the array of exquisite watches, viewers saw ‘Money” Mayweather reveling amidst bills perhaps worth millions of dollars, walking across his residence with beautiful interiors, and partying with friends. Apart from the seventy-six comments, the clip seems to have grabbed over six million views.

But barring a few exceptions, most who shared their viewpoints appeared edgy, with Mayweather Jr. showing his affluence so brazenly. While a few posed questions from a spiritual point of view, some called out the practicality of such glitz.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the lap of luxury

Someone wished Mayweather Jr. the stroke of good fortune, more so since he worked so hard to reach that level. Keith Millard, however, couldn’t resist highlighting that one doesn’t cease to be a jerk just because his status got elevated to that of a millionaire. He said, “Good luck to him. He’s worked hard for it, but it just goes to prove being a multimillionaire doesn’t exclude you from being a D**k.

Calling the undefeated former champion conceited, Jorge Rolando said that even if he spends his entire wealth, he won’t be able to buy a foot in the sky. He slammed him for remaining oblivious to the spiritual world despite all the material success. “What arrogance, but not with everything you have. You won’t get one[ .] foot in the sky, rich in the world, poor in the spiritual, ignorant… Rolando said.

Gregory Cox pointed out rather succinctly – when it comes down to it, despite all the riches in the world, one can only sleep in one bed and drive only one vehicle at a time. But give two hoots; Cox asks, “YOU CAN ONLY DRIVE ONE CAR AND SLEEP IN ONE BED AT A TIME. ALL THAT MONEY, WHO REALLY CARES ????Dave Stevens took that case of archrival at the opposite end, Manny Pacquiao. Unlike the American champion, the Filipino remains unknown despite helping many in his country.

Calling Pacquiao the better man, Stevens pitted his humility against Mayweather Jr., known for blowing his trumpet. Ridiculing the latter for charging exorbitant amounts for phony exhibition matches, he said, “Pacman used a massive part of his earnings to build houses and infrastructure In his own country, Yet you barely hear about it because he’s a humble man. Floyd uses his wealth to show off And likes charging a ridiculous amount of £to watch some crap exhibition bout. Just goes to show Who’s the better man.

Probably the lone protector of his icon, Oronde Camara, couldn’t help himself from defending Mayweather Jr. Arguing that the former champion merits all the money he made, Camara asserted that he toiled to achieve what he has. Hence no one can question him about that, “He deserves it! He’s worked hard and fought hard to be the best. You can’t knock him for that.”

It will not be the first time fans questioned Mayweather Jr. parading his opulence so overtly. However, boxing’s first billionaire perhaps remains unstirred by the commotion his abundance causes. The retired boxer, with a net worth touching $450 million, according to celebritynetworth, continues with his Midas touch.
