And Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn is one of them. Moreover, he shared his honest opinion about this matchup in a recent interview.

Hearn recently opened up about the Tyson Fury Vs Francis Ngannou fight. And knowing his personality, he is not the one who backs down from making strong remarks even though it has a chance to create controversy. Notably, this matchup comes after Hearn’s side rejected an offer from Fury to fight against Anthony Joshua.

Eddie Hearn believes it’s a “complete mismatch”

In a recent interview with IFL TV, Eddie Hearn openly talked about the fight which will be taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Brit talked about what he feels is wrong with this showdown between these two combat sports athletes.

The 44-year-old clarified that he does not have any personal problems with Fury. And rather, he is not pleased with what he has been doing with his professional career. “I understand it. But, you can’t spend your whole time saying I don’t care about the money, I just wanna be great, I’d beat Usyk; he’s a middleweight.”

He further opened up about the fight and revealed what he felt was wrong. He added,” I have no problem with Fury. I’ve told you that it’s a complete mismatch between the best proclaimed heavyweight in the world against a bloke who’s never boxed before.”

It seems like Hearn is not very pleased with this upcoming fight.

Is Fury’s championship title on the line?

Many fans are in doubt whether Ngannou has been handed an opportunity to become the next WBC heavyweight champion. But, according to Frank Warren, that is not the case, as Fury has received special permission from the sanctioning body for this fight and it doesn’t put his title at stake for this clash. Even though many, including a UFC legend, demand that his title should be at stake for this fight.
