Canelo Alvarez Shows Off a Massive New Tattoo; Gets Giant Bear Inked on His Back

Fans want to know who Canelo Alvarez would fight next! However, all they are getting is updates about is his new tattoo. In a recent pinch, the Mexican superstar turned to social media, sharing his new ink of a giant bear. However, this isn’t his first tattoo, as thousands of his devastated fans are already aware of.

Canelo’s body has turned into a canvas in which he paints the most significant aspects of his life, having been inked over fifteen times. However, nobody is quite sure what the tattoo of a bear is supposed to signify. Yet, his fans must be delighted to learn about another aspect of his life.

Turning to Instagram, Canelo shared a story from the tattoo artist who inked him with the bear tattoo. It showcased a massive brown bear running through the woods, portraying Canelo’s fierce boxing presence. Besides his latest ink, the legendary boxer has a portrait of his daughters on various parts of his body.

One of the well-known tattoos most fans are aware of is the motivational quote on his back. It says, “Destiny is not a matter of chance. It’s a matter of choice. Life is hard, but never give up – Keep on fighting & always believe in yourself to achieve your Dreams.” Despite his love of tattoos, he didn’t back down from criticizing a boxer for their tattoo.

Alvarez pokes fun at gym mate

Canelo Alvarez is geared to appear in the ring against an American fighter on May 4 for the Cinco De Mayo event. It’s in line with his deal with Premier Boxing Championship, but the identity of the opponent remains a mystery. Some contenders touted as his potential opponents are Jermall Charlo and David Benavidez

However, it’s unlikely to be either of those two. Meanwhile, after Canelo shared his new ink, one of his comments about then gymmate Andy Ruiz Jr. comes to mind. Back in October 2021, Canelo was about to fight Caleb Plant, but before the fight, in an All Access episode of Canelo vs. Plant, the Mexican superstar made fun of Ruiz’s tattoo. 

“Let me rub your new tattoo and take the pain away. That must hurt, is it peeling? Does it hurt” said Canelo. In response, Ruiz said, “Yeah, when I wipe it, it’s all irritated.” Ruiz had gotten a full back tattoo, which became the center of banter in the gym.

With the entire world awaiting to hear about Canelo’s new opponent, all he revealed was his new tattoo. However, as time passes, the identity of his next opponent should be revealed to the public. What did you think of Canelo’s new tattoo?
