After a prolonged period of inactivity, the pound-for-pound king Canelo Alvarez is ready to wrangle. However, it is uncertain yet to whom the Mexican star will meet head-on in the ring in 2022.

However, the IBF and IBO middleweight titleholder, Gennady Golovkin is most likely to lock horns by the end of this year. GGG is keen to take a shot. But Canelo has still not made any statement. The WBC middleweight Jermall Charlo is also on the list of the probable opponents. Though, he was arrested in Texas on a felony assault charge. However, several times in the past, his name was speculated to be the next opponent for Canelo Alvarez.
