The announcement of this crossover clash comes after months of speculation surrounding Ngannou’s future following his departure from the UFC. However, this fight was possible after Fury’s original plan for a showdown against Oleksandr Usyk fell through in March. Tyson Fury’s coach welcomes him as he arrives in spectacular style

‘The Gypsy King’s’ strength and conditioning coach Kristian Blacklock, made a grand gesture to mark his arrival. He recently uploaded a video on his social media showcasing Fury arriving in a bright red chopper. Moreover, Blacklock suggested that this was a taxi helping him commute to training camps in preparation for this fight.

While this has certainly added to the spectacle of the event, many have questioned the wisdom of Fury’s decision to take on Ngannou, a fighter transitioning from MMA to the traditional boxing ring. While Ngannou has an impressive MMA record with 17 wins out of 20 professional fights, the transition to boxing has proven challenging for other MMA stars. Moreover, Usyk who was expecting a clash for the undisputed title also expressed his disappointment in Fury’s choice of opponent.
