Conor McGregor Disappointed with Floyd Mayweather’s Performance Against Logan Paul: ‘It Didn’t Feel Right’

UFC star Conor McGregor doesn’t seem to hold any ill-will towards his former foe Floyd Mayweather, whom he had faced back in 2017. However, the Irishman was not impressed after watching Mayweather compete against Logan Paul in June.

The unbeaten boxer had failed to beat Logan Paul in the exhibition, which ended in a draw. For the first time in his career, Mayweather walked out without a win.

It was even worse as it came against a YouTuber-turned-boxer. While several people had already ridiculed Mayweather’s performance against Paul, Conor McGregor also dived into the mix. In a chat with ESPN, ‘Notorious’ unleashed his brutal opinion on the fight.

Conor McGregor said, “I have no problem with Floyd [Maywether]. It wasn’t a good look for him to fight [Logan Paul] in his last fight. It didn’t feel right. He didn’t even feel right, you can see it in him.”

In the aftermath of the contest, Floyd Mayweather didn’t appear pleased with his performance. He Justified it by his age and claimed to stop fighting from that point.

Although we can expect Floyd Mayweather to lace up the gloves again, he showed very little interest in re-appearing in action at the post-fight press conference.

Hence, facing Logan Paul in an open weight bout could have been a wrong decision. It didn’t earn him any legacy. However, the single fight put more than $100 million to Floyd Mayweather‘s bank account. So Conor McGregor’s statement might not have any importance to ‘TBE’.

Akin to Mayweather, McGregor was also allured by the massive financial numbers in 2017 and agreed to face the undefeated boxer.

Although McGregor didn’t have any pro-boxing experience, he still chose to accept the challenge. But it looked bad on the UFC star’s resume as he suffered a scratchy TKO loss.

Similarly, Floyd Mayweather’s recent performance against Paul was quite similar. It had no relevancy but still became a massive source of financial income for Mayweather.
