Shakur Stevenson moved up to the lightweight division from the featherweight division in hopes of proving himself against the well-established boxers in the weight class. To achieve his dreams of becoming a champion, he challenged the undisputed lightweight champion, Devin Haney. ‘The Dream’ had just come off a controversial victory over Vasyl Lomachenko and was looking to once again prove his dominance in the ring.

However, due to the disagreement over the pay split, the momentum halted. Stevenson claimed that he knows his worth and would not settle for just a mere 25%. And now with Haney planning to move up in the weight category, all hopes of the bout are more or less shattered. Desperate for a good fight, Stevenson is now ready to pick a fight with anyone as he issues a challenge to all potential opponents.

Shakur Stevenson is pumped up and ready for a challenge

Steveson has already proven his might in the featherweight class. After the Haney fight couldn’t be made, he set his eyes on Lomachenko instead. He has called out Loma multiple times, however, the 35 years old boxer hasn’t paid him much attention so far. In the beginning, both boxers were rather respectful towards one another. However, now the young boxer is trying to shame Loma to get him to fight.

He recently mocked Loma as he sarcastically labeled him as “scary”. In the tweet. he claimed that Loma would rather “retire” than get in the ring with him. As if finally giving up on his second target as well, he has now expressed his willingness to face anyone in the division. He wrote, “Tell the rest of these mfs line up I’m ready for anybody idc who it is.”

The American boxer is open to all available opens and is ready for all the smoke, as the fans too wait for a worthy fight to be made.

Stevenson dares Haney to come back to 135

Haney is planning to go up in weight and it is speculated that he will most likely be facing Regis Prograis for the WBC title. Stevenson has a lot to say about this surprising move from the champ. In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, he expressed his desire to fight Haney. He dared the undisputed lightweight champion to come back down to 135 lbs to face him.
