While in Mexico, for the Ryder vs. Alvarez fight, British promoter Eddie Hearn did not forget to take care of his business. And was not ready to wait till the end of the main event to make a big announcement for his company and boxing in general.

Hearn took to his Instagram to make an announcement about a new signing to Matchroom Boxing. The promotion company has signed the reigning WBC super lightweight champion, Regis Prograis. The 43-year-old shared a photo with the champion on his Instagram, making the announcement with the caption, “Welcome to the A team, my friend.” As reported by ESPN, Prograis has signed a three-fight deal with the British promoter.

But, this big announcement by the promoter seems to have gone unnoticed by the fans, who are not pleased with the scoring of the fight between Steve Spark and Gabriel Gollaz Valenzuela. And they were not hesitant to ask Hearn about the fight and even take shots at him for being ignorant of the scoring of the fight between the two. Hearn also gave a concerning message ahead of the fight.
