It is safe to say that boxing legend Mike Tyson has been with his fair share of women during his lifetime. The former heavyweight champion has been married thrice in his lifetime, with his first two marriages ending in disaster for him. Moreover, he has also had multiple girlfriends which shouldn’t be surprising given that he was the most famous person on the planet at one point in time.

However, Tyson did not have the best track record of having successful marriages. This has led many to wonder why Tyson wasn’t able to sustain a long-lasting relationship until he met his third wife Kiki. Now it looks like these questions will be answered as Tyson recently gave his take on love, family, and business.

Mike Tyson  gets candid about love and business in front of his wife

On his podcast Hotboxin, Tyson revealed what he thought love was. Moreover, this was done in front of Kiki, Tyson’s wife, who was also present in the podcast.

According to ‘Iron Mike’, love is ‘scary’ but once the ‘scary’ part is conquered, it won’t be a problem anymore. In addition, small confrontations in marriages become the root of unsuccessful relationships.

“Love is very scary and so once you overcome that level of love it’s not scary and then what gets scary is our confrontation of the little small things and as you get older and your relationship you realize they don’t sweat the small things anymore. Most destruction of the marriage starts with the smallest little thing once you get over that smallest thing because this is love.” he said.

The former champion feels that confrontations about trivial issues between partners can cause marriages to fall apart. Moreover, given his experience with women, his word can be taken at face value. However, this was not all as ‘Iron Mike’ also revealed how things change in marriages as time passes.

Tyson details how marriages change with time

Tyson then went on to state that passion in a marriage stays only during the beginning. As time passes, priorities change, and the passion naturally dies according to the former champion.

This is love when you first meet your wife and you’ll get married. You are with passion all day, love can’t fix it can’t stop passion and then it comes a time where you don’t do it that much and then we gotta take care of business and that’s what it’s all about. It’s time for that, time for s*x, time for love. That’s time for business time Enterprise taking care of our family watching our children grow” he added

The former heavyweight champion has realized that love is not something that will remain constant.

Moreover, this is not the first time Iron Mike has spoken up on love on his podcast even compared it with suicide in a previous episode. Despite this, he has understood that this is a very complicated subject and has a lot of nuances to it.
