In his latest conversation with Boxing Social, promoter Eddie Hearn stated how close they are currently to staging the Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn fight. In fact, given the prospect of commercial success, Hearn assured Boxing Social that he would attend any meeting and seal all the required deals to make the fight possible for the sport. “It was the fastest-selling boxing event at the O2. It was the highest-grossing gate of all time at the O2. I will do whatever deals need to be done behind the scenes. I will pop up at any meetings,” told Hearn. Given the duo’s mutual desire to fight, Hearn stated, “I believe it will happen.” Although he could not mention a specific month, Hearn is hopeful the bout will take place by the end of 2023.

Recently, Benn ran into retired boxer Kell Brook. The duo even spoke about facing each other in the ring. Meanwhile Benn, with a “death wish”, suggested a potential bout with Brook. “Could be August, September, December. It doesn’t have to be in Abu Dhabi,” added Eddie Hearn speaking about the time the duo could possibly share the ring against each other.
