It’s been a little more than five years since Terence Crawford gave Jeffery Horn a very devastating defeat. It was June 9, 2018, when Jeff entered the ring to defend the WBO Welterweight Championship title. He came with his head held high and his eyes set on victory. Much to his disappointment and surprise, Crawford reduced this fight to a very one-sided affair, winning by ninth-round stoppage and stripping Horn of his WBC title.

In less than 24 hours from now, Terence will enter the ring against Errol Spence Jr. for the most important fight in his pro-boxing career. This fight will see the historic unification of all four titles in the weight class as ‘The Truth’ places his IBF, WBC, and WBA titles on the line. If Terence wins this bout, he will create history and will become the first undisputed champion of the division.

Six years after his defeat to Crawford, Jeff surprisingly picked ‘Bud’ to win the fight. His opinion has however sparked outrage amongst boxing enthusiasts. Will his unpopular prediction stand to its test tonight?

Fans clap back in unison at Jeffery Horn

Bud has retained his title by defending it time and again. Meanwhile, for Jeff, it has not been that great of a ride. Since his loss to Crawford, the now-retired fighter tasted defeat in two more fights, and managed to win two before calling it quits. Hours before the big Terence Crawford vs Errol Spene Jr fight, Jeff also made his predictions in favor of his old rival, and that has not gone down well with boxing fans.

Jeff believes ‘The Truth’ will too face the same fate as he did against Terence.

Garry Robinson is not okay with people undermining EJ. And for obvious reasons. Three titles in the welterweight division are not a joke. The user retorted at Jeff saying, EJ about to show the world why he’s great. Everybody talking like EJ basic. Remember this EJ doesn’t have three world titles by accident. Bud is about to find out it’s different when you’re in the ring with EJ. All this hype about Bud being so diverse. Errol is not to be underestimated. So to my real hardcore boxing fans the rumble is soon to take place. I give the edge to Ej.”

Another user Derrick Grady Sr. did not support the speculation. Dan further defended his argument saying that is a 50/50 fight between the two pound-for-pound fighters, and that in itself is testimony to the head-to-head clash. However, he was of the opinion that Spence will emerge victorious in the end. “It is a 50/50 fight but I’m going with Spence but really it is who has the better chin,” said the fan.

Paul Hernandez took shots at Jeff. The user commented,Jeff horn is not Errol Spence or anywhere near him.”

Tony Willis too came at the retired fighter. He said, “Jeff Horn had Manny’s belt because actually Manny beat Jeff Horn who has to be one of the weakest fighters ever, and not only that how does he know? He’s never faced a fighter like Spence.”  Notably, Jeff won the WBO title defeating the great Manny Pacquiao.

Ricardo Rodriguez however was in agreement with Jeff. He said, “He is right. You will see the difference between a good fighter in Spence and a special fighter in Bud. Example: Inoua (special) Fulton (good).” Not sure if the user was being sarcastic or analytic.
