Floyd Mayweather is once again the center of attraction these days. Last year, the boxing legend took an exhibition fight against YouTuber Logan Paul. This was a magnetic fight that did well on PPV, too. However, the ‘Maverick’ claimed that he didn’t get paid for the fight and since then, he’s gone after the boxing great.

Recently, Floyd Mayweather was in a chat with The Pivot Podcast. Here, he shed some light on the sad reality of boxing, pay structures, and more.

Mayweather said – “That comes with the territory right and you got to realize when you’re used to getting, you know to them, that’s real money”

“The money is not coming fast enough. That’s why when they say money on the back end, as far as pay-per-view, they take a while, you know, and he shouldn’t trip.” – ‘TBE’ continued.
“If he feel like he’s done great numbers and we’ve done record-breaking numbers, then I understand, nothing comes right away. Just like I’m still collecting checks from fights, seven-eight years ago, I’m still collecting checks,” the 44-year-old concluded.

‘Pretty Boy’ retired from the pro-boxing circuit back in 2017. Since then, he kept himself busy with exhibition fights and didn’t let his love for the sport fade. Also, exhibition fights help the 50-0 boxer mint enough money, thus letting him fulfill his love of competing.
However, he’s recently got into some troubles regarding Paul‘s fight purse for their last exhibition. As expected, this fight stood tall in entertainment, but no one expected the purse delays for this fight to continue this far.

For Mayweather, this wasn’t new because he’s made even bigger paychecks in the past. But, for Logan Paul, this amount matters extensively, and that’s why he’s behind getting paid for each and everything he was destined for.
