‘Tank’ Davis predominantly fights in the lightweight and super-lightweight category. However, ‘The Tartan Tornado’ is apprehensive about facing Davis because of some reasons. Recently, Taylor, in a conversation with Behind The Gloves, spoke about facing ‘Tank’ and more.

He said, “Gervonta Davis is far too small for me and I would absolutely beat him up to a pulp. I really would. He’s fought no-one and I don’t think he intends on fighting anybody any time soon either.” (h/t Michael Benson)

Davis bagged the WBA ‘regular’ super-lightweight belt by beating Mario Barrios earlier this year. Since then, there have been mammoth comparisons drawn between him and Taylor. However, both the fighters have their next outings lined up against different opponents.

This has worked in his favor quite well. However, Taylor enjoys facing such fighters, as he knows how to counterattack well. Considering this, the Davis vs Taylor matchup seems exciting. It will be interesting to see if this fight really materializes.
