The welterweight division desperately needs a fight between Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford. A fight between these two has been the talk of the town for a long time, yet, every time fans were left disheartened as the bout never reached close to getting finalized. Now, a boxing icon even suspected that Spence Jr. is avoiding a collision with Terence Crawford.
Timothy Bradley Jr., who was recently on Max Kellerman’s ‘Max on Boxing’ show, opened up about Spence Jr., ‘Bud’, and Yordenis Ugas.
He said, ”Yeah, [Spence] is a next-level super-type of fighter. I believe that, but I still think he’s running from Terence Crawford, to be honest with you,”

“How do I see [Spence vs. Ugas]? It’s a tough fight but an easier fight than Terence Crawford. Yordenis Ugas, he’s a waiter. He’s a counter puncher. We’ve seen Errol in the ring against counter punchers.”
“He can dominate from the outside, and he can come around the guards of these guys. He can dictate the pace. That’s what he’s going to do against Ugas.” he added. (h/t Boxing Scene)
A few days back, Errol Spence Jr. announced his next fight against Yordenis Ugas for the title unification.

Both the men will put forth their straps and the winner will be in a suitable spot to go ahead for the undisputed fight. For now, there’s no concrete timeline for this fight, but Spence Jr. declared that this fight will happen in April.

Errol Spence Jr. is an undeniable favorite against Yordenis Ugas. Also, a fight between the two men is a significant step to further keep an undisputed welterweight title collision.

That said, ‘Bud’ holds the WBO belt, and if Spence Jr. gets past Ugas, needless to say, a fight between the two top rivals might come to life.
