Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua is not relevant at this point in time. While Fury has defended his WBC title against Deontay Wilder with a sensational KO, Anthony Joshua lost his belts to Oleksandr Usyk on September 25.
Hence, they are miles away from fighting. ‘AJ’ needs to regain his titles to advance for a shot at ‘The Gypsy King’. Meanwhile, Tyson Fury shall have several more mandatory challengers onboard.

Given what’s in line for the duo, the clash may not be relevant in the eyes of fans and matchmakers. However, Ricky Hatton has detailed why the All-English clash is still relevant.
Anthony Joshua Visits the USA- Does He Need an American Trainer?
In a chat with Metro ‘Hitman’ said, “If Tyson wants a rest, that will give AJ a chance to try redeem himself against Usyk. And if he can do that, we get the fight we have all wanted. There is only one box for him to tick now I think and that is the all-British title showdown with AJ. If that doesn’t happen, then I don’t think there is much more he can do in his career.”
“He’s had three thrilling fights with Wilder. If he wanted to hang them up now, I don’t think anyone would blame him. But knowing Tyson how I know him, he will want to sign off his career by beating AJ.”(H/T:- Boxing Scene)
Former champion Anthony Joshua has also desired to battle Fury, even without the titles. That won’t be possible unless ‘The Gypsy King’ is completely ejected from the WBC scene.

Dillian Whyte, the WBC heavyweight mandatory, will defend his Interim title against Otto Wallin next. The winner of the fight shall earn a shot at Tyson Fury’s WBC world heavyweight belt. Meanwhile, Joshua vs Usyk 2 will determine the fate of the WBO, WBA, IBF, and IBO belts. So there’s a lot to happen now.
If Joshua and Fury get past their nearing adversaries, they can revive the possibilities of their in-ting collision. It won’t be easy, as Whyte and Wallin are top-level punchers. The former even rocked Fury when they fought in 2019. Meanwhile, Usyk vs Joshua 1 hasn’t provided fans with any sign that ‘AJ’ is a favorite for their rematch.
