“Glorified Sparring Session”: After Fight Ban, News of Amir Khan’s Next Potential Fight Sends Fans Into a Frenzy

It has been more than a year since the well-known Super Lightweight boxer, Amir Khan, has been under the ban for the use of performance-enhancing drugs against Kell Brook. ‘King Khan’ tested positive for the substance, Ostarine, which is strictly against the policies of United Kingdom Anti-Doping (UKAD). Although, the plan was that Brook would be the last opponent of Khan’s career, as the 2004 Olympic silver medalist was looking forward to his retirement. But ironically, even after retirement, the 36-year-old is serving the backdated prohibition.

But Khan still doesn’t want this to stop him from getting inside the ring. Earlier, he even stated that he was ready to make a comeback from his retirement to go against Floyd Mayweather. Well, right now, according to Fred Talks Fighting, Amir Khan approached an Influencer boxer, Adam Saleh, for a boxing fight. Due to the ban, it’ll reportedly be just an exhibition fight. Still, the fans can expect to see the battle take place somewhere in August or September.

The news was definitely a shocker to a lot of fans, as many believed this will be quite an easy contest for Amir Khan, while some stated that Saleh may stand a chance against ‘King Khan’. Well, the ongoing trend of a professional boxer vs. an Influencer boxer has opened up a lot of boxing bouts that were deemed impossible a few years ago. Nevertheless, it’s safe to say that this matchup is definitely catching a lot of attention in the community.

Fans respond to the potential fight between Amir Khan and Adam Saleh
