Ahead of the bout on the 22nd of April, Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia, during an Instagram live session, agreed to a ‘winner takes all’ bet. Contrary to his expectations, Garcia lost the fight against Davis and collected his first professional defeat in the ring. Hence, going by the ‘winner takes all’ purse split, Davis shall technically keep all the money following the bout inside T-Mobile.

However, the WBA (regular) lightweight title holder has honored the labor expended by Garcia and consequently refused to consume Garcia’s share from the initial split. At the post-fight press conference, ‘Tank’ offered his verdict on the ‘winner takes all’ bet.

Following his win against Garcia, Davis now stands with a record of 0 losses, 0 draws, and 29 wins. With yet another knockout on his record, ‘Tank’ now has a KO rate of 93.1%. From the bout, Davis has reportedly earned a guaranteed figure of $5 Million, whereas, Garcia received a guaranteed figure of $2.5 Million. Although Davis honored Garcia’s labor, the latter shall be more careful regarding bets in the future.
