Floyd Mayweather, 45, fought his second exhibition fight of this year on September 25th. He made his return to the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. Mayweather, retired and past his prime, fought a 30-year-old MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura from the organization Rizin. According to Paul, Mayweather’s age is showing as he got hit in the face in his last fight. Paul said, “Here’s the caveat. He fought this past weekend in Japan for a bag. Fought an MMA fighter, he got tapped up. His age is showing, sorry.”

“He got hit in the face like we’ve never seen Floyd Mayweather get hit in the face. By a Japanese ‘nobody’ MMA fighter. It is obvious. He could not finish him in round three probably because he was like, ‘oh, yeah, maybe I miscalculated how easy or hard I should go on this guy’. Because we know Floyd, he wants to put on a show.”

Logan Paul calls the last opponent of Floyd Mayweather, Mikuru Asakura, a ‘nobody’
Asakura is an MMA fighter from Rizin. He walked in the ring with Mayweather with no solid background in boxing. Prior to fighting ‘TBE’ his record comprised 3 losses and 16 wins. Even though Asakura lacked a commendable experience in boxing, there were moments in the fight where he hit Floyd.

However, that Asakura wasn’t widely heard of prior to his exhibition with ‘Money’ stands out for Paul. Similar to Paul, Jorge Masvidal recently took to Facebook, and with a tinge of sarcasm expressed an opinion about the fight. Masvidal called Mayweather the greatest boxer to ever walk and Asakura, “one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time.”
