Floyd Mayweather, the pound-for-pound king, has been one of the most polarizing boxing personalities in history. He wasn’t just a great fighter; he also knew how to sell a fight. Mayweather was known for mocking his opponents in and outside the ring, which made him popular among fans. Yet another boxer desired to be ‘Money’ both inside and beyond the ring by speaking in the same vicious and razor-sharp manner as Mayweather.

Mayweather once reminisced about telling Broner to team up with him to help promote his 2013 fight against Canelo Alvarez, so the latter could learn something from the ‘grueling’ tour. Nevertheless, Broner rejected the suggestion.

While talking about why he is upset with Mayweather, Broner stated, “If I were Floyd, I’d know I’d never have to fight again. That exhibition, me being his little brother, would give us a lot. ‘Hey, little brother, we’re going 10 rounds and we’re both going to generate over $100 million for that. We’ll never have to box again.’”
