Canelo Alvarez and John Ryder will clash in a few hours in Alvarez’s hometown of Jalisco, Guadalajara. This fight is important for both the boxers. This is the Mexican’s homecoming fight, something he has been dreaming of for a long time. And, for a Brit, this is an opportunity to be glorious. This is undoubtedly the biggest fight of Ryder’s career, as he will lock horns against one of the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world for the undisputed gold. It seems like Alvarez’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, came across a hiccup on his way leading to the fight.

The British promoter took to his Instagram to share a Story with a cryptic and unexpected message hours before the Alvarez and Ryder clash.

Eddie Hearn’s message to the fans

The 43-year-old promoter posted an Instagram Story with a message for the fans to enjoy the show if he didn’t make it. The video he posted showed the road as he went to the Guadalajara stadium with a police escort. It still seems unclear what Hearn meant by his message.

He wrote, “If I don’t make it have a great show.” The promoter did not clarify what he meant by the message. But it seems like he wants the fans to enjoy the show no matter what happens. And that just shows this fight’s importance and hype in the boxing world. It should be noted that Hearn did reach the stadium on time, as he uploaded another Story.
