Amidst talks about a potential bout between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder, a boxing fan recently tried to mock ‘AJ’ in public. The fan spoke to Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn directly and suggested that the former unified heavyweight champion of the world need no longer compete for belts in boxing. While the fan tried to make fun of Joshua, Hearn made a stern reply, defending Joshua’s achievements and abilities.

In his last fight, Joshua fought Jermaine Franklin and secured himself a UD win. Following the win against Franklin, Joshua expressed he would like to square off against Deontay Wilder in the ring. In fact, Eddie Hearn has also shown faith in Joshua claiming that the British boxer could outbox Wilder in boxing. Hence, Hearn did not take it well when the casual fan tried to mock Joshua.

Eddie Hearn who believes in Anthony Joshua shuts down a disrespectful fan

At a conference, Eddie Hearn recently faced a fan who wanted one of Anthony Joshua’s belts. At first, the British promoter could not wholly comprehend what the fan demanded. Hence, the fan in question repeated himself. He said, “Can I have one of Anthony Joshua’s belts since he doesn’t need one anymore?” At this, Heanr well understood the intention of the fan and immediately stated, “I think if you could achieve a hundred-millionth of what Anthony Joshua’s achieved, you would be a very happy boy.”

With this response from Eddie Hearn, the fan immediately became silent. Recently, Hearn displayed faith in Joshua as he declared ‘AJ’ could win against Wilder. Despite the doubters, Hearn was of the view that Joshua could come up with a positive outcome if he did not “go into that fight trading off and gambling“. In Hearn’s opinion, although ‘AJ’ has a good style, he is sometimes tentative. “I think he can outbox Wilder, I really do. But if he’s too tentative, Wilder could walk him down,” thus Heanr added as reported by talkSPORT.
