Former mixed martial artist Chael Sonnen agreed with Paul, “It’s true.” Nothing could have rubbed fans more the wrong way. Sportsbible Australia‘s Facebook page contains comments roasting Logan Paul and his newfound supporter, Chael Sonnen.

Did Logan Paul really win his exhibition bout against Floyd Mayweather?: Fans’ take

A user named Qwadre Maleek Clayton highlighted the sheer physical differences between the two. While standing at six feet and two inches tall, Paul weighed around 200 lbs. Mayweather Jr., at five feet and six inches, stood around 160 lbs. Additionally, the latter was almost fifteen years older during their fight. So despite these apparent differences, if Paul could make statements that he won the bout, then it speaks a lot about the kind of world we live in, “Bro is legit 6’2 200lbs and still lost to a 5’6 160lbs Floyd who is also 15+ years older than Logan and literally talks like he legitimately won? It’s a wild world we live in.

Another user named Josh McLaughlin rates the entire sequence as one of the most comical he has come across in combat sports. Logan Paul threw one wild punch after the other at a constantly moving Floyd Mayweather Jr. He said, “The wild flurry Logan threw while sprinting at Floyd is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen in combat sports.Daniel Powell added that Paul reportedly told Mayweather Jr. to go easy on him during the fight. After all, it was an exhibition match, “Wait, was this the fight where he told Floyd to calm down and take it easy since it was just an exhibition?

A fan named Noah Sweet chided Paul for making false claims about a contest two years ago. That way, many who erased the match from their memories, besides those unaware, would accept it without question. That was the last time Logan Paul stepped into the squared circle. The fan wrote, “And 2 yrs ago was the last time he stepped into a boxing ring. Lol he really thinks it’s been long enough now he can just make blatantly untrue statements, and people who forgot or didn’t see it will just believe him.

Disagreeing that he is an expert in combat sports, finally, among the few who disapproved of Chael Sonnen agreeing with Logan Paul, a user named Nick Chrysostomou said, “I don’t see a fight expert; I just see chael sonnen.”

Sour grapes, eh, Logan Paul?

Logan Paul still believes he performed peerlessly against Floyd Mayweather Jr. at the Hard Rock Stadium on June 6, 2021. For the latter, it was the second exhibition match, four years after he retired from professional boxing. For the former, his only professional boxing match ended in a loss. Hence it was an entry into the big league of crossover boxing. It was an exhibition match sans any scoring. However, Paul seems convinced that he outboxed and outmaneuvered Mayweather Jr.
