Floyd Mayweather Jr. is indeed a big tipper. The former five-division world champion is still remembered for his sensational performances inside the boxing ring. But, after his retirement, he is known for his expensive and luxurious lifestyle outside. There is no doubt that throughout his professional career, Mayweather Jr. managed to generate a fortune and worked hard for every cent he has. And it is safe to say that when you earn money, you have to spend it. The 46-year-old likes to travel in style. And holds a beautiful and extravagant collection of supercars and a private jet. But, one important characteristic of his character is that he also likes to give money back to the people.
Recently, a clip of Floyd Mayweather Jr. tipping a decent amount of money to his private jet pilot for getting him through turbulence surfaced online. And if the fans know one thing about the champion is that these gestures are something he likes to do, and he appreciates people for their work.
In a recent viral clip, ‘Money’ Mayweather had a message for all those who own private jets. And he wants the jet owners to show love for their pilots. He urged the owners to tip their pilots “no matter what” and to set an example.

Mayweather Jr. said, “Everybody that got their own jet, you always gotta tip your pilot no matter what.” Furthermore, he talked about tipping his own pilot and said, “Now today I gotta tip my pilots $1000 apiece because it was kinda rough.” It is safe to say that the 46-year-old knows how to set an example for others. But, this gesture of Mayweather Jr has caused a stir among fans.
Why are fans criticizing Mayweather’s gesture?
One fan does not agree with the 46-year-old and believes that it’s disrespectful to tip a pilot. He commented, “It’s almost disrespectful to tip a pilot.” Another fan believes that Mayweather Jr.’s tipping gesture gives an incentive to the pilots to look for turbulence. He wrote, “Why give them an incentive to look for turbulence?”

Meanwhile, one user took a dig at Mayweather and wrote, “If he’s a billionaire, that’s the equivalent of him tipping them a dollar. Good job!” Another user simply commented, “Dude runs so much in the ring, he should have ran to his destination.” Another fan gave their hilarious take on the situation and wrote, “Haha the pilots saving their own lives & making a grand for the pleasure of it….quality.”
