“It’s Crazy”- Shakur Stevenson Reacts to His Sparring Session With Terence Crawford

Shakur Stevenson recently visited Terence Crawford’s gym to watch the WBO welterweight champion spar. However, he ended up entering the ring in an intense session with ‘Bud’. Both the undefeated pugilists traded blows and seemingly hinted about their prowess to each other.
In the aftermath of the event, both men shared mutual respect and shed light on their recent training session. While Stevenson will return to action in June against Jeremiah Nakathila, sparring with Terence Crawford might have added some more armors to his arsenal.
Following the training, ‘Fearless’ took to social media and posted a picture alongside the 147 lbs elite, Terence Crawford. The duo was still in their boxing gear and both men looked worn out after a hard boxing session. Crawford also posted the same picture from his official social media handle.

In the caption, Shakur Stevenson wrote, “Walked in da gym fresh off my flight to watch Bud spar and I end up sparring him.. This man one of da Greatest fighters I ever seen he did so many rounds it’s crazy and on God this sparring was Fireworks it was high skill level chess I’m gone be one of da Greatest I put that on everything I love.”
37-0 as a professional, Crawford defended his title against Kell Brook with a sensational knockout win in November 2020. While he is yet to receive his next opponent, ‘Bud’ remains active at the gym and has been sparring elite-level fighters. But Shakur Stevenson has a contest knocking at the doors, and he will have to remain determined whilst defending his undefeated record.

Meanwhile, Shakur Stevenson has already been a world champion in the featherweight unit. He seems even more evolved at 135 lbs. As he continues to aim for the bigger names, a win against Nakathila can be his ticket to that. So, he will have to deal with Nakathila’s prowess and experience to retain the clean stat.
