Throwback to December of 2015, two undefeated boxers: Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte had a clash inside the squared circle. The British public was heavily invested in the bout between two British heavyweight boxers. Not to mention, the boxing fraternity, around the globe, took notice of this fight. The stakes were high; The WBC and the BBBoC British heavyweight titles were on the line and Joshua was the one who emerged victorious. He was declared the victor after defeating Whyte in the seventh round of their contest via a stoppage.
Almost 8 years later, their fate demands them to meet again on August 12 at the O2 arena. This revelation startled many in the boxing world as Joshua was speculated to face Deontay Wilder next. Now, their fight will possibly take place in December only if AJ manages to beat Dillian Whyte. Meanwhile, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn made a jaw-dropping claim about the ticket sales ahead of Joshua vs Whyte.
