Jake Paul defeated Nate Diaz in their anticipated clash for his seventh professional victory. The YouTuber-turned-boxer has fully immersed himself in the sport. Apart from being a professional boxer, the 26-year-old is the CEO of, ‘Most Valuable Promotions.’ Moreover, it bears mention that Paul has not legitimised himself as a professional boxer and left many questions unanswered. Back in February, the Ohioan fought a combatant with professional boxing experience: Tommy Fury. However, ‘The Problem Child,’ got handed a unanimous decision defeat. Despite losing to him, Paul finds himself defeating one of the best pound-for-pound boxers, Canelo Alvarez.

The undisputed super middleweight champion has been on his radar for a substantial amount of time. Moreover, the boxing world finds his desire to face Alvarez far-fetched. In a recent episode of, ‘Impaulsive,’ Paul was confronted by the co-host of the show, Mike Majlak about his endeavor to face Alvarez. However, Paul was adamant and made a bold prediction about their fight.

Paul is confident in his abilities to face Alvarez and possibly defeat him. However, he is aware that he would require some more experience under his belt to get to the level of, ‘Saul.’ In the recent episode, Majlak felt that Paul calling out Alvarez is unreasonable and not coherent. To express the same, he asked him, “You said that you’d like to go up against Canelo Alvarez. What gives you the f*cking right to call out a 59-2 boxer? One of the greatest of all time. When you have not yet proven yourself?”

Majlak’s tone was quite interrogative, to say the least. However, Paul was far from intimidated and did not shy away from holding his ground. In response, he revealed that he foresees facing Alvarez in the next 3 years. In addition, his new team has given him confidence in his ability to give Alvarez a fight for his money. He responded, “I’m predicting what’s gonna happen 3 more years from now. So I’m gonna get to his skill level and beat him. I have one of the greatest self-belief systems in the world and I know what I’m capable of with this new team. I can give Canelo a serious run for his money.”

Only time can tell if Paul will face Alvarez in the next three years. For all we know, a substantial section of the boxing world finds this match-up unwanted.
