Jake Paul is calling out none other than Mike Tyson for a showdown in July. This David-vs-Goliath matchup is sure to raise eyebrows. Paul, the young social media star with a 9-1 record, has never faced an opponent of Tyson’s pedigree. ‘Iron’ Mike, on the other hand, is a 57-year-old boxing icon whose reign of terror ended nearly two decades ago.

On July 20th, at the massive AT&T Stadium in Texas, the world will witness a clash for the ages, a fight where youth and audacity collide with experience and raw power. Despite the mounting criticism for this unlikely match-up, this clash will make its place in history, as confirmed by Jake Paul’s business partner Nakisa Bidarian.

With over 250+ million (282.68 million users as of Q1 2024) subscribers worldwide, Netflix is shaking up the sports world by broadcasting the highly anticipated boxing match between legend Mike Tyson and social media star Jake Paul. Paul’s partner, Nakisa Bidarian, considers this a great achievement. Many critics of the fight believe that this isn’t a great fight, firstly because of the 30-year age gap between the two opponents and secondly, because of the health problems like sciatica that Mike Tyson already has. However, Bidarian tried to put the doubters in their place by pulling out the Netflix card.

On X, he mentioned, “Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson gives combat sports its largest single distribution platform in history. Debate the fight all you want, which is exactly what we want…but equally accept that this is a great opportunity to bring boxing to the masses.
