

After Frank Mir’s failed attempt, Junior Dos Santos is another ex-UFC heavyweight champion to be going against Kubrat Pulev in Triller’s Triad Combat. The hybrid form of combat-which will include both boxing and MMA moves, saw Pulev poleaxe Frank Mir in the inaugural event on November 2021.
Pulev bagged the Triad combat heavyweight championship with his win. He will now defend the strap against Dos Santos, one of the most ferocious fighters from the MMA world. Ever since the boxing vs MMA concept broke out into the mainstream, we have seen how MMA fighters have struggled to beat the punchers in the ring.

Excluding a few like Anderson Silva, most of the MMA fighters have failed in the boxing ring. However, the idea is still in full force and Triad Combat has set new rules to attain equal benefits for both sides. Well, Junior Dos Santos seems geared for his debut in Triller and has already boasted his confidence about beating Kubrat Pulev.

Can Junior Dos Santos outwork Kubrat Pulev?
Kubrat Pulev holds a pro-boxing record of 28-2 with 14 KOs under his name. The only two of his professional defeats have come against Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko. Hence, he is undoubtedly an A-lister pugilist. No wonder Pulev reflected that energy when he fought Frank Mir at the maiden Triad Combat’s main event. The Bulgarian fighter comfortably manhandled Mir to score a first-round stoppage.

Despite his legendary status in the MMA world, Mir looked like he was an amateur before Pulev. While Junior Dos Santos claims to put on a different scenario to the display, it will be a demanding task to do.
